TAM BRAZIL AIRPASS
Concept and Application
TAM Brazil AIRPASS was created for foreign and Brazilian nationals residing abroad who wish to travel within Brazil on flights operated by TAM (JJ) at an attractive rate.
To purchase the TAM Brazil AIRPASS, the passenger should:
- purchase an international roundtrip ticket commencing outside of Brazil, with destination: any city in Brazil;
- request the airpass, which is issued in conjunction with the international ticket.
- The number of options of different destinations or stopovers allow for up to 9 (nine) cities in economy class. However, there must be a coupon for each portion of the trip – please refer to “Stopovers and Connections.”
Validity
Ticketing: until March 31, 2010.
Traveling period: until December 31, 2010.

Discounts
INF: 10% of adult fare.
CHD: not applicable, children pay adult fare
Stopovers and Connections
A “Stopover” occurs when the passagner remains at an intermediate point or airport over 4-hours. Each stopover is considered a destination point.
A “Connection” occurs when a passenger departs the intermediate point or airport within the 4-hour time-frame. A maximum of two connections is permitted per flight coupon.
Minimum / Maximum Stay
Minimum: Not applicable
Maximum: 30 days, from the first departure date.
Baggage Allowance
Baggage allowance for domestic segments covered by TAM Brazil AIRPASS will be the same as permitted on the international segments.
In the event of excess baggage, 1% of the “Y” fare for the leg involved will be charged per extra kilo.
Routings
OW/RT/CT/OJ trips are permitted.
The trip can only be made on flights operated by JJ; not valid for flights operated by JJ* (flights operated by regional carriers with which TAM has an agreement).
The same leg may not be flown more than once in the same direction, except for connections.
The same city may not be used as an origin and/or destination more than once, except for connections.
Surface does not count as a coupon.
Note: Ciudad del Este/Paraguay (AGT) can also be included as part of the TAM Brazilian Airpass 2009 using JJ* or PZ flights, since this city is in the Iguaçu Falls region.
Booking
All portions of the trip must be confirmed before departure in a separate reservation from the one which contains the international reservation.
The first letter of the fare basis indicates the reservation booking code:
booking code - "L" - to fare basis LBAP09JJ or LBAP09YY
booking code - "X" - to fare basis XBAP09JJ or XBAP09YY
booking code - "O" - to fare basis OBAP09JJ or OBAP09YY
booking code - "S" - to fare basis SBAP09JJ ou SBAP09YY
In the case booking codes above are not available, the following classes will be permitted:
booking code "L" upgrade to "X" - charge US$ 80.00 per coupon.
booking code "X" upgrade to "O" - charge US$ 80.00 per coupon.
booking code "O" upgrade to "S" - charge US$ 80.00 per coupon.
booking code "S" upgrade to "Z" - charge US$ 80.00 per coupon.
“TAM BAP” must be informed in the reservation as an OSI.
Ticketing
Valid for sales and ticketing only outside Brazil.
Only one Airpass may be purchased in conjunction with each international ticket (including AD/ID and award tickets).
The Airpass ticket must be a separate ticket and must include a cross reference of the international ticket sold in conjunction with the Airpass.
Tickets are non-endorsable/transferable
PTA’s are not permitted.
TAM BAP / NON END must be noted in the endorsement/restriction box.

Fare constructions and combinations are not permitted.
Changes
Re-booking permitted:
- Changes made more than 24 hours before original flight – no penalty
- Changes made within 24 hours or after original flight - $30.00 penalty
Rerouting: not permitted.
Refund for Cancel / No-show
Before departure: Refundable. Penalty: US$ 100.00
After departure or partially used: non-refundable
TAM Fidelidade Frequent Flyer Program
Legs flown with the airpass will accumulate 90% of their full points value under the TAM Fidelidade Frequent Flyer Program
